Biography: Melissa Miller Nece has inspired many to try colored pencils through demonstrations, classes and workshops around the country. Her work has been in American Artist and Drawing magazines and numerous books, including Creative Colored Pencil Portraits by Vera Curnow.

Melissa is Ways and Means Director for and a Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, and past President of CPSA District Chapter 113. Besides MAA, she is also a member and past Board Member of both the Miniature Art Society of Florida and the Professional Association of Visual Artists, and a member of the Florida Artist Group.

With a BFA from Lake Erie College, she has taught drawing, colored pencil, and painting at the Dunedin Fine Art Center since 1990. Her work is in many corporate and private collections, including commissions for the makers of Derwent pencils in England, and is featured in Legion Paper's advertising for Stonehenge paper
