Anita Boyers , MAA Member since 1996 2008-2012 MAA TE Work: "Looking for Treasures", 9.5 x 7 centimeters, 3¾ x 2¾ inches Medium: Watercolor Biography: Anita D. Boyers was born and raised in Michigan where she learned to love nature. On numerous camping trips around the State with her parents and siblings she was taught to observe. The lessons helped her learn to paint animals. She also learned to watch people playing, working, and living. This is how she enjoys portraying people in portraits. Anita has done numerous portrait commissions of both animals and people. After moving to Dunedin, Florida in 1984 Anita was introduced to the magical world of miniature art. She was awed by the complexity and detail of these little artworks. She became intrigued by the thoughts of doing them herself. She has achieved recognition, awards and sales for her miniature art. Anita's art can be found in collections throughout the United States including the Permanent Collection of the Miniature Art Society of Florida.
